A bit about Ed's unique experiences in life and his energy vision.

Born ultra sensitive and empathic, Ed grew up with some interesting challenges that helped develop his gifts.

During the formative years from age 1 to 17 he had the use of only one eye. He was "wall eyed". The pupil of his right eye looked inward.

The remaining eye had extremely poor vision and Ed was virtually blind until he was old enough at 5 to be fitted with very thick and complex lenses to bring some of the visuals into focus.

He didn't see the world as he grew up the way most do. There was no depth perception and the details were not there. The physical world of detailed and varied sights that is of such fascination for the eyes of a child was a blurry one dimensional mess.

Uncovering Another World.

He soon discovered that there was all this other wonderful stuff he could see. It looked fascinating and it was everywhere! The growing child totally focused on all these other visual delights his "eyes" saw.

Ed saw beautiful rainbows of colors around people. He saw intense white light where others saw bodies. He saw these wonderful colored patterns everywhere he looked interacting with each other, playing, dancing, blending, separating and changing.

Every single person he saw was a colorful 3 dimensional mass of light, waves and energy. The bodies were not important - as his visual perception of those was very limited.

So he developed a type of "energy vision" at a very young age. This gift allows him to "see" many forms of energy and vibration that others are unaware of. Sound far fetched? Consider this.

2008 - Science Finally Confirms "Blindsight"

In December of 2008 the biologic systems behind Ed's energy vision are validated by hard scientific evidence. An international team of brain researchers headed by Beatrice de Gelder, a neuroscientist at Harvard and Tilburg University in the Netherlands, reported on the findings in the journal Current Biology.

To quote the New York Times article “The more educated people are,” Dr. de Gelder said, “in my experience, the less likely they are to believe.... Scientists have long known that the brain digests what comes through the eyes using two sets of circuits. Cells in the retina project not only to the visual cortex but also to subcortical areas. These include the superior colliculus, which... may have other sensory functions; and, probably, circuits running through the amygdala, which registers emotion".

The study, which included extensive brain imaging, is the most dramatic demonstration to date of so-called blindsight, the native ability of certain humans to sense things using the brain’s primitive, subcortical and entirely subconscious — visual system.

Of course they knew nothing of the possiblity of such abilities back decades ago.

Society Teaches The Child To Respect Limitations.

As a child Ed told everyone who would listen about what he was seeing. That is until they all made it plain to the youngster that such stuff is impossible and simply due to an overactive imagination.

The vivid descriptions of what he saw were dismissed by his parents and ridiculed by the doctors his parents took him to. When he would tell classmates he would end up being punished by teachers for describing the phenomena. So he tried to convince himself that it was simply hallucinations and stopped talking about what he saw. It took him many decades and an intervention to uncover the real blessing in his gift.

His parents were concerned about Ed's constant visions and vivid dreams, his ultra sensitivity to surroundings and people and baffled by his complete inability to fit in any peer groups. Unlike his brothers and sisters he did not at all enjoy to hunt or fish, if the day involved hurting or killing animals it would be traumatic for him.

His behavior motivated his parents to enroll him in a Catholic seminary school run by Jesuit monks. They hoped the monks and priesthood would channel Ed's unique sensitivity and concern for all life into something useful.

Not Catholic Priest Material.

Although he excelled in his studies Ed's outspoken ways and unstoppable belief that the Creator was a completely loving and forgiving entity insured that he was expelled. The monks told his parents he could not be a priest because of his lack of faith in their dictates.

Soon Ed was instructed to show up to be inducted into the army. He honestly told them that harming another human was something he could not do. As the truthful approach didn't work with the army, he became a draft evader for several years before finally getting the situation resolved.

He then went on a decade long quest for personal discovery that took him from the musician's enclave of Topanga Canyon near Malibu to a place deep into the rugged woods of Northern California. There he lived for several years completely "off the grid" on a 20 acre piece of land at 3600 feet. It was a magical and peaceful place he needed to be and it was perfect for meditation and introspection with no electricity, no useable road, no neighbors for miles, no running water and no phone. (This was pre cell phone time in the early 1980s).

Next Ed joined with a small group of like minded folks and helped to establish Alvarado Street Bakery Co Op in Northern California. This was a radical idea at the time - a cooperatively structured bakery that would produce sprouted whole grain organic breads.

Lost in The Corporate Era

Alvarado Street Bakery succeeded beyond anyone's wildest dreams and became a multi million dollar operation in a few short years. What started as a small and personal group and operation became a giant corporation before his eyes. As Ed was heavily involved in the marketing end of the business soon other corporations came calling and wooing him for his talents.

Ed spent the next 12 years suppressing his energy gifts and grounding himself in the "real" world of marketing and commerce. He worked as a advertising consultant for dozens of clients. He got a real estate broker's license and opened his own office. But the more he suppressed his natural gifts and tried to fit into a life that society considered to be normal - the more distressed he became.

Eventually the suffocation of his true nature caused his health and attitude to reach a crisis point. His professional life and 25 year marriage fell apart in bankruptcy and divorce. He gained close to 100 extra pounds.

A Miracle of Love

Then a miracle happened. One fateful evening 11 years ago. His lifelong guardian entity, Violet,  appeared to him and his entire world was changed.  Through a series of revelations and loving instruction Violet guided Ed on the path back to himself and instructed him in how to use and share his energy vision and empathic gifts to help others, rather than stifle them.

Violet also instructed Ed to share much of what she revealed to him with as many folks as possible. Some of these revelations and techniques became the basis for Ed's radical new book - "Unstoppable Joy! A Happier You in 12 Simple Steps"
